OUR FEES

For house extensions and loft conversions we offer standard packages for projects that can be undertaken under Permitted Development Rights and those which require Planning Permission.

Unlike many architects we do not calculate our fees based on a percentage of the build costs which can sometimes equate to thousands of pounds. We prefer to provide a more competitive fee based on the time taken plus overheads. With more than thirty years’ experience in residential architecture we understand the design requirements of many types of extensions and loft conversions so enabling Architecture First’s fees to be fair and accurate.

The standard packages can be adapted to include additional services at a fixed fee, for example, Heritage Statements and Design & Access Statements can be included for Listed Building Consent and projects in Conservation Areas. If you want us to oversee the construction work Job Tendering and Contract Administration can be added or if you want to evolve us in the entire project, we offer a Design and Build service.
